About

Norma Sue O’Neil was not one of those people who grew up knowing she wanted to be an author. Though, looking back on the notebooks full of story ideas and even more pages of character’s drawn, she probably should have known. Being a voracious reader only served to fuel the imagination, and she has always loved books with beautiful illustrations. Instead she planned to be a stay-at-home mother, and if she had to have a “real” job, an artist.

When a long struggle with infertility meant that life wouldn’t quite go according to plan, she decided to pursue what she thought were her “maybe someday” goals. Armed with a background in fine art, a fascination for words, and a passion for mythology, she decided to bring to life the ideas that had been floating around in her head for years.

One of her favorite quotes is from Cicero:

“If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.”

It advocates finding joy and contentment even when life doesn’t go according to plan, and it is evidence that she is richly blessed, because she also has a wonderful husband, two Labradors, and the cutest adopted son to remind her how precious an imperfect life really is.
